WELCOME TO OUR OCTOBER NEWSLETTER
Daylight saving started when clocks went forward by 1 hour at 2:00 am on 30 September 2018. It occurs on the last Sunday in September, and ends on the first Sunday in April. This period is known as ‘New Zealand daylight saving time.
If an employee is working a shift when daylight saving time starts they work an hour less than they otherwise would have, however they must not be disadvantaged (i.e. they should be paid their pay and allowances for the lost hour).
GUM (GREENTREE USER MEET)

We are moving closer to our next GUM. In the next release of Greentree QlikSense comes embedded. QlikSense allows for the rapid creation of highly interactive graphs and tables which you will now be able to have at your finger-tips.
Bryce will be demonstrating the amazing capability of QlikSense a powerful BI tool. Note it in your diaries now to avoid missing out.

BACKUP WOF
We have been conducting a number of Backup WOF’s over the last month and strongly recommend that you do a server backup test restore of Greentree and run Greentree from that restored location to validate data integrity from the restore on a regular basis (at least every three months).
75% of small businesses don’t have a disaster recovery plan in place. Further, more than 90% of companies that experience at least seven days of data centre downtime go out of business with a year.

GREENTREE TIP OF THE MONTH
Did you know if you use the ctrl & T keys it will populate into the field you are on, your user name, date and time e.g.
AND F12 will spell check the text in field you are in.
NEW NORTH SHORE OFFICE
We recently opened an office located at 5 Apollo Drive in Albany, so if its more convenient to meet on the North Shore we would be happy to do so, although it’s still our preference to visit you on site.
